Description

The Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is seeking a Chief of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and to join the faculty at the Associate Professor or Professor level. 

The successful candidate will be an established, clinically active plastic surgeon, an exceptional academic physician-leader with proven values and skills needed to provide programmatic and academic leadership.  The ideal candidate will be nationally recognized as a thought leader in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and have a track record of success in clinical excellence, research and education. 

The Division has a strong history of academic excellence and currently consists of seven faculty members with a scope of practice that provides total care for every aspect of reconstructive surgery, including expertise in Burn, Adult and Pediatric Craniofacial, Breast Reconstruction, Microvascular Reconstruction, Gender Affirming Care, Complex Soft Tissue Reconstruction, Hand, Complex Wound Management and Peripheral Nerve Surgery. The Division Chief also leads a highly competitive Integrated Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training program with a total of 12 trainees (2 slots per year). The research enterprise within the Division consists of several clinical trials and funded translational science investigation in peripheral nerve reconstruction and neuropathy.
